International Business Law and Integration processes invited at the 6th International Seminar on Private International Law, Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, March 22nd and 23rd, 2012

nouveau-logo-ohadacAs in previous years, professors J.C. Fernandez Rozas and P.A. Miguel Asensio organised the 6th. International Seminar of International Private Law, hold in the Graduate Hall School of Law on March 22nd. (the afternoon session has been held in the Auditorium of the College of Notaries of Madrid) and March 23rd., 2012. The seminar has the support of the representation in Spain of the European Commission and of the OHADAC. The perfect coordination of the seminar has been conducted by professors Patricia Orejudo Prieto de los Mozos and Carmen Otero Garcia-Castrillon.

The papers presented at this year's seminar will be published in the next volume (2012) of the Spanish Yearbook of Private International Law.

The two-day event considered at its third session, chaired by Prof. Sixto Sanchez Lorenzo, business law in the prospect of integration, with several communications concerning the harmonization of business law in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa, in particular by professor Yoselyn Bermudez Abreu (University of Zulia, Venezuela, President of ACP Legal Venezuela), “Analysis of the socio-legal elements of the Caribbean countries under the OHADAC project”, by HE the Vice Minister of Justice, Worship and Penitentiary Institutions of equatorial Guinea, Mr. Sergio Esono Abeso Tomo, “OHADA and the harmonization of business laws in Africa”, by Ms. Leidylin Contreras Ramirez, J.D. (junior legal consultant for the Dominican Republic Presidency), “the Cariforum-European Partnership Agreement”, and by Rafael Clemente Oliveira do Prado, J.D. (lawyer, Brazil), “Environment issues within Mercosur”, among many others.

The first sessions updated us on contractual obligations, inheritance, procedural aspects and family law.

The event was attended by HE. Mr. D. Francisco Fonseca Morilla, Director of the Representation in Spain of the European Commission and the Hon. Ms. Cecilia Ayllon, Minister of Justice of Bolivia.
