The seminar “Ethical Issues in Commercial and Investment Arbitration”, jointly sponsored by the Center on International Commercial Arbitration of the American University Washington College of Law and the Arbitration Spanish Club will be held on March 8th, 2012, from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm at the American University Washington College of Law (Washington, DC).
The speakers will be: Claudio Grossman, Lorena Perez McGill, Jean Kalicki, Andrés Rigo Sureda, Jeffrey F. Pryce, Caline Mouawad, Marinn Carlson, Ignacio Torterola, Claudia Frutos-Peterson, Christian Albanesi, Catherine A. Rogers, Eduardo Siqueiros Twomey and Horacio Grigera Naon.
Please kindly note the presence as a speaker of Mr. Luis M. Martinez, Vice President of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution of the AAA, who will probably comment on the latest news of his prestigious Institution in terms of disclosure obligations, independence and impartiality of arbitrators. No doubt that this topic will be of great interest, everyone having in mind a recent conflict of interest involving a large Canadian law firm.
