Module II completed for the International Business Law Degree programme in Santo Domingo

Patricia-Orejudo-PrietoThe Diploma in International Business Law is a programme (Executive Certificate Program) organized by the Global Institute of Higher Studies in Social Sciences (iGLOBAL) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, under the direction of the Department of Public & Private International Law of the Madrid Complutense University (UCM), with support from the President Leonel Fernandez's foundation FUNGLODE.

It is divided into four (4) modules, covering the complex, recent and multifaceted world of international business law.

The second module, dedicated to International Contracts organized by Mr. Victor Villanueva, from the Global Institute of High Studies in Social Sciences (iGLOBAL) and Mr. Nathanael Concepcion, Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE, has been conducted by Professor Dr . Sixto Sánchez Lorenzo, University of Granada, Spain, who updated us on the substantive aspects of Contracts for the International Sale of Goods together with Prof. Patricia Orejudo Prieto, Professor of Private International Law at the Complutense University of Madrid who detailed this topic. Dr. Gilberto Boutin, Dean of the Faculty of Law (University of Panama) introduced the topic of international maritime law and Prof. Dr. Rodolfo Davalos Fernandez, a senior lecturer in business law and private international law at the University of Havana gave a lecture on arbitration within the regional perspective of the OHADAC.
