Following the successful experience of the previous fifth edition, the Faculty of Law at the Madrid Complutense University will organize a new edition of its International Seminar on Private International Law by opting for a format like the last edition, combining a large comprehensive scope, that makes possible reflection on recent developments and future prospects in various fields of private international law, with particular attention to some recent or complex issues.
As reported by the organizers, the initial programme is to group sessions in two fields: one dedicated to family law and inheritance and other to estate law. In this last block, a special attention will be dedicated to studies in the field of extra-contractual obligations; in relation to the first field, the seminar will deepen the study of evolution in terms of succession.
For the new edition, the organizers hope to introduce the following speakers ,-among others-, Michael Wilderspin (European Commission), Dario Vicente Moura (Universidade de Lisboa), Sabine Courneloup (Université de Bourgogne) and Eva Agnes Obergfell (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin ). As in previous editions, the seminar is open to the participation of professors and specialists through the timely submission of communications.
A specific workshop will address the latest developments in the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in the Caribbean (OHADAC).
