We are pleased to inform you that the OHADAC Draft Rules of the four domains of law selected for harmonization and for the success of the OHADAC project (Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in the Caribbean) are available on the www.ohadac.com website. These are the following:
- (1) The OHADAC Draft Rules of Arbitration and Conciliation, the explanatory text and the Draft Statutes of the OHADAC Caribbean Centre for Arbitration and Conciliation; (2) The draft OHADAC Model Law on Commercial Companies. These texts are available in English, Spanish and French on the website www.ohadac.com. They have been drafted under the scientific coordination of Prof. Dr. Rodolfo Dávalos Fernández: (Chair) Professor of private international law at the University of Havana, President of the Arbitration Court of Cuba and Member of the IHLADI.
- The rules and commentaries of the draft OHADAC Model Law Relating to private international law are available in English, Spanish and French on the website www.ohadac.com. These texts have been drafted under the scientific coordination of Prof. Dr.h.c. José Carlos Fernandez Rozas: Director of the Department of public and private international law at the Complutense University of Madrid, Associated of the Institute of International Law, international arbitrator and Member of the IHLADI.
- The rules and commentaries of the draft text of the OHADAC Principles on International Commercial Contracts are available in Spanish (the publication of the English and French is scheduled for next week). These texts have been drafted under the scientific coordination of Prof. Dr.h.c. Sixto Sánchez Lorenzo: (Chair) Professor of private international law at the University of Granada, Member of the International Academy of Comparative Law, international arbitrator and Member of IHLADI.
All OHADA texts are freely searchable and downloadable on the www.ohadac.com site.
The official presentation of OHADAC texts and the launch of the OHADAC Caribbean Centre for Arbitration and Conciliation are focused topics of the OHADAC Convention scheduled to be held at the World Trade Center Complex in Pointe-à-Pitre / Jarry, 21 and 22 September 2015. We invite you to participate in this historic Convention, an opportunity to contribute directly to the success of the OHADAC reform, which will lay the foundations for the genuine regional integration of countries in the Caribbean zone.
