ACP Legal welcomes Professor Barthélémy MERCADAL to Hispaniola

Milton-RAY-GUEVARA-tnMr. Barthélémy MERCADAL, Professor Emeritus, International Arbitrator, Vice-President and Secretary General of the IDEF, - the International Law Institute of French Expression and Inspiration-, great promoter of the OHADA & OHADAC initiatives will visit the Dominican Republic next February 16-23 at the invitation of the President of the Constitutional Court of the Dominican Republic, Magistrate Milton RAY GUEVARA.

Mr. MERCADAL will be received by Mr. Hugo RISK RAMIREZ, president of ACP Legal, -Dominican Republic Chapter-, and the Dominican government commissioner in charge of unfair trade practices and safeguards, along with Jean REALE, conductor of the OHADAC project.

The program of the visit included the inaugural ceremony of the IDEF Dominican section, an animation on legal business Law issues, exchanges on the year of the Dominican Republic in Guadeloupe, French West Indies, and a legal seminar focused on company Law and international arbitration.

The advanced state of the Sub-African OHADA business Law harmonization and the establishment in 2013 of the OHADAC will quite naturally raised.

A lecture at the Haitian University Henri Christophe, -initiative of the former Dominican head of state Leonel FERNANDEZ REYNA and symbol of friendship links between the two nations-, would be considered.

The whole visit will be coordinated by the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Paris and ACP Legal.
