Following the experience of the previous six years, ACP Legal is pleased to inform that a new edition of the International Seminar on Private International Law has been confirmed by professors José Carlos Fernandez Rozas and Pedro A. de Miguel Asensio.

For this seventh edition, the organizers have opted for a model like the previous editions, combining a general approach, which makes it possible to reflect on recent developments and future prospects in various fields of private international law, with special attention to particularly current issues or in need of study. The initial plan is to dedicate a session to registration law with special reference to the new Civil Registration Act and its implications for private international law. In the other sessions, the organizers suggest papers and communications on other relevant issues in the current development of private international law.

The proposed dates are Thursday 11 and Friday 12, April 2013, and the seminar would be held at the Faculty of Law of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, notwithstanding that, as in previous years, some of the sessions can take place in other Madrid headquarters, which would be announced in due course.

The speakers for this year, -according to organizers' wishes-, among others, will be Professors Gerald Spindler (Georg-August-Universität Göttingen), Bertrand Ancel (Université Paris II) and Thomas Clay (Université de Versailles). As in previous editions, the seminar is open to the participation of teachers and specialists who wish through the timely submission of communications.

Deadline November 30, 2012, to send a message that should include the title of the paper and a brief summary of its topic.

The delivery of the final version of the communications that are accepted will be held before April 1, 2013, non-extendable by closing Yearbook requirements. Such communications in its written version must not exceed 25 pages in Word format (double-spaced, in DIN A-4, Times New Roman 12 for text and 10 pages for footnotes). The publication of the papers in the 2012 volume of the Yearbook of Spanish Private International Law shall be subject to prior scientific evaluation in accordance with the general criteria applicable to the doctrinal articles published in the Yearbook.
